Conceive with your mind

1 Corinthians 2:9 (NIV) However, as it is written:“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him.

Human beings have the amazing capacity to imagine. We dream all manner of things. Sometimes our imagination can be destructive. Used in the right way, thoughts are powerful.

God loves you and has prepared an incredible destiny for your life. Paul wrote in Corinthians that no mind has conceived the awesomeness of what God has prepared. God’s plans always exceed our own. When you hold your baby in your arms, you will know this to be true.

Paul also writes a little later, “But we have the mind of Christ.”

So what does this mean for you? You have the mind of Christ. Christ sees your baby. He has wonderful things in store for her. Since you have the mind of Christ, you can imagine her too. Feel her kicks in your belly. Picture her resting on your shoulder. She has been thought of in Heaven, think of her on earth.

Put your mind to good use. Visualise yourself holding a baby. Envisage being joyfully pregnant. As she is conceived in your heart, so will she be conceived physically.

Prayer: Father, today I conceive with my mind, thoughts of being pregnant and holding a baby. I believe that what I see will come to pass.
