Crowd-fund, crowd-source, crowd-write. It’s cool to be part of a crowd these days. Crowds get things done.
Where ever Jesus went, there was always a crowd. People followed Him everywhere. Jesus had compassion on the crowd. He fed, taught, showered mercy, loved, and healed everyone.
While Jesus was encircled by a crowd, He still had time for individuals. He embraced the children and took time for individual needs.
Being part of a crowd is fun. But sometimes is can feel just so impersonal. With God, you are not lost in the crowd. Jesus sees you. He has time to touch your child. He will reach out in healing for you. He knows your heart’s struggles and desires. To Jesus, you are a much loved and highly favoured face in the crowd. He sees you.
Matthew 9:35-36 Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
