Do You Need Hope?

Hebrews 6:19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

Hope is a word which has been diluted.

I hope it doesn’t rain.
I hope the washing gets dry.
I hope the Cowboys win.
I hope I pass maths.
I hope I get that job.
I hope he asks me out.

But nothing is certain. Hope is a wishy-washy, flighty desire. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t.

But Biblical hope is not a maybe. Not an if. Hope is a strong and confident expectation. It is dynamic, active and life-sustaining.

For the past few weeks the church which my husband and I pastor, Generation Church in Brisbane Australia, has launched a new online service. This Sunday, I have the opportunity to preach in our online service for the first time. I’m sharing a message of hope. I’m speaking about how hope in Christ is an anchor for our lives.

As readers of my books and blog, this is my personal invitation to you. I know you will be blessed and receive an infusion of hope as you hear this message.

As well as our online service, I will be online both times to interact and chat with people about the message.

The online address you need to access is:

generationchurchaustralia.churchonline.org

The times are Sunday 15 September 1pm and 6pm (AEST – Australian Eastern Standard Time). If you log on the timer should tell you what time the service will air in your timezone.

If you know friends who need hope, spread the word. I am so excited that we can join together as a community of people where ever you are, all over the world.
