Psalm 91:9-10 If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.
God’s people were bound in slavery. Tormented by those who worshipped stone idols, gods with no power. Their children stolen, the Hebrews lived in fear of their captors.
God sent a deliverer. His name: Moses. Never the same once he encountered the great I AM, Moses demonstrated His supremacy before the Egyptians. Yet they refused to let Israel go.
The Lord inflicted many plagues upon Egypt, from frogs to darkness. The final plague, the plague of death, was devastating. Yet it did not touch the Hebrews. Not because they were chosen. Not because God finally heard their cries for help. Not because of their works.
It was the blood.
Exodus 12:13 But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.
Today, those of Hebrew descent continue to celebrate this miracle. A remembrance of mercy and grace because of the blood.
The perfect Lamb of God was sacrificed on a Cross. His blood is a new sign. A more powerful covenant. No evil, no plague can touch, because of the blood of Jesus.
There is power in the blood. Plague must pass over. Satan will let you go. Apply Jesus’ blood around your life. You have perfect health. His blood never fails.
