Step out of the traffic

Crazy, crazy morning. Child with a fever: 1:30am. Locked out of the house: 8:07am. Ran up a hill pushing pram in the rain: 8:28am. Child’s face covered in my lipstick: 9:13am (oh, and the couch). Remaining sane: priceless. (Not quite a Master Card slogan, but almost.)

So with that in mind I present a scripture for meditation: Be still and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). From the Message translation it reads this way:

“Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.”

Time to step out of the traffic and fall in love with Jesus. Time to find peace as I gaze into his loveliness. Time to be refreshed and renewed. Time to be with God and allow Him to be God. I’m sure you need it too.
