Luke 11:21-22 For when a strong man like Satan is fully armed and guards his palace, his possessions are safe— until someone even stronger attacks and overpowers him, strips him of his weapons, and carries off his belongings.

There are times when I feel that the strong man is wrecking havoc in my life. Things don’t go according to plan and I feel trapped, abandoned, weak, and disillusioned.

If you feel pillaged by the devil, let me remind you (as I remind myself) there is someone stronger. Jesus Christ has attacked Satan’s kingdom. The evil one has been stripped of weapons and completely overpowered.

Sickness, poverty, may have had their day, but Jesus is stronger. You are His possession. Your life belongs to Him. The powers of darkness have been overthrown. Christ has taken you captive in love, joy, peace, and blessing. Jesus is stronger. And because Jesus is stronger, you are stronger. I am stronger. We are stronger.

Today is “until someone stronger…”day. Jesus has come and He is stronger.
