Your Miracle is in the Fire

Sometimes life isn’t fair. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. You lose your job. Your mother gets cancer. Your children are in a car accident. Your marriage falls apart. You can’t pay the bills.

Evil finds the best of people.

Shadrach, Meshash and Abednego were good guys. They obeyed God, ate good food and lived righteous lives. But evil found them in the form of a prideful king. And this prideful king made life pretty horrible.

But that didn’t bother Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They were fully persuaded. Romans tells us Abraham was fully persuaded that God would give him a son. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were fully persuaded God would rescue them from evil. I am sure you are fully persuaded God can rescue you. But sometimes life pushes us further. Further than we ever wanted to go.

Your miracle is in the fire.

For the three Hebrews, the fully persuaded attitude didn’t stop evil. Instead, the king turned up the heat. Perhaps you can relate? Bad things happened, and rather than bow to the problem you took a stand of faith. What you expected was breakthrough. But matters grew worse.

Your miracle is in the fire.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were not spared the fire. They were thrown into it. Just like you. Thrown into the fire of unemployment, divorce, sickness, the list goes on.

But the story did not end in the fire for Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

It doesn’t for you.

Your miracle is in the fire.

Jesus is with you in the fire.

He will not let you burn.

He will not let your clothes be singed.

He will not let you even smell of smoke.

Hold on to Him. Hold on to the promise.

Isaiah 43:1-2 But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel:“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

You will walk through the fire. You will come out the other side. The fire has killed others but it will not kill you. See Jesus in your situation. See Him in your fire.

Be fully persuaded.

Your miracle is in the fire.
