Confession: I Didn’t Marry My Best Friend

I didn’t marry my best friend.

I know it’s going to come as a shock to lots of people. But it’s true.

I cringe when others proclaim their spouse as their best friend. It’s a nice thought, but to me, it puts a husband on the same level as other friends.

He’s not your best friend. He’s more than a friend. Ben is not my best friend, he’s my husband.

I know, a little hard to swallow, right? I wrote an article for Crosswalk that should explain everything. Head over there to have a read. Hey, you never know, you may just stop calling your husband your best friend too.

In the meantime, be ridiculously blessed. God is looking out for you. He’s got it covered. Someone needed that today.
