Top 15 Scriptures about Pregnancy, Conception, and Babies

God loves it when His children, have children. The Bible is full of promises for conception, pregnancy, and babies (enough to fill a nine month devotional!). Here I have compiled my top 15 Scriptures for pregnancy, TTC (trying to conceive), and children. It is by no means exhaustive.

Print out the verses so you can pray and confess them daily. Having a baby is a blessing from the Lord. Oh, and please let us know your favourite verse for pregnancy in the comments.

Genesis 1:28 (CEV) God gave them his blessing and said: Have a lot of children! Fill the earth with people and bring it under your control. Rule over the fish in the ocean, the birds in the sky, and every animal on the earth.

Hebrews 11:11 (AMP) Because of faith also Sarah herself received physical power to conceive a child, even when she was long past the age for it, because she considered [God] Who had given her the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word.

Romans 9:10 (MSG) And that’s not the only time. To Rebecca, also, a promise was made that took priority over genetics.

Isaiah 54:1 (MSG) “Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby. Fill the air with song, you who’ve never experienced childbirth! You’re ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women.” GOD says so!

Jeremiah 1:5 (NLT) I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.

Psalm 139:13 (NLT) You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Ephesians 4:16 (NLT) He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Isaiah 65:20 (CEV) No child will die in infancy; everyone will live to a ripe old age. Anyone a hundred years old will be considered young, and to die younger than that will be considered a curse.

Exodus 23:26 (NLT) There will be no miscarriages or infertility in your land, and I will give you long, full lives.

Job 31:15 (CEV) After all, God is the one who gave life to each of us before we were born.
